Newborn Session
Those early days right after you give birth are full of transition, exhaustion, and beauty. Everyone tells you not to blink, or it will be over, and after going through the process five times myself, I can tell you that's true. Which is why it is so important to capture this time with your baby. Newborns are changing Every. Single. Day!
Photographs taken during this time with your new baby will become priceless.
Newborn sessions are held in my natural light studio space, located in Minden. I also offer in-home sessions (travel fee may apply). If you prefer an outdoor session, please see (family sunset sessions) for more info.
Newborn sessions are best held 5-10 days after babe’s birth (but can be taken up to 3 months of age). These sessions are family centered. Natural individual shots of the baby are included with the main focus on the family’s connection to your new baby; lots of cuddles, love, and snuggles.
You can expect your newborn session to last up to 3 hours. Collections are chosen at booking and can be upgraded upon review of your proofing gallery, delivered 7-14 days after your session.
All sessions include artistically edited, high-resolution, digital images with printing rights. Professional quality prints and products can be ordered directly through your online gallery.

Prior to your session,
You will receive a questionnaire. This will help me get to know you and your family before our time together and allow me to better customize a session to meet your needs. I want you to feel relaxed and at ease, knowing I will take good care of you and your baby through the process.
During your session,
I will help guide you into poses and give you prompts to move the moments along and make you feel comfortable. My sessions are family-focused, meaning I do not incorporate props to keep the sole focus on YOUR family's love & connections. No distractions. Parents and siblings are encouraged to be a part of the session, holding and loving on baby and each other. Babies will always be most comfortable in your arms.
If siblings will be joining us for the session, I have a play area with some toys, coloring books, snacks, and water. Feel free to bring any favorite toys or activities to help pass the time.
My hope is that you will come to the studio and feel comfortable and relaxed. If the baby gets fussy or alert, don’t worry. A baby can sense your anxiety, and we want to keep the environment as mellow as possible.
Ultimately, I want you to enjoy this experience as much as I enjoy capturing it. I can guarantee you will not regret having these memories to cherish.
